President Donald Trump is not yet on a clear path to recovery from KOVID-19 and some of his vital signs over the past 24 hours have been very concerning, a person familiar with the situation told reporters, Reuters reported. According to the source, who requested anonymity, the next 48 hours will be critical from the point of view of Trump’s deal.

The assessment differed from that of Trump’s doctor in today’s briefing. Sean Conley said the president was feeling fine and had not had a fever in the past 24 hours.

The doctor said in a special briefing that he was extremely pleased with Trump’s progress, Reuters reported. According to Conley, the president is not short of breath. He has been closely monitored for complications, but he is not receiving oxygen.

According to the medical team, Trump asked about hydroxychloroquine but was not treated with it. A five-day treatment with remdesivir is planned. Trump himself told doctors that he felt capable of leaving the clinic today. However, Dr. Conley clarified that he could not specify a deadline for Trump’s discharge from the hospital.

On Friday, the US president announced that he and his wife were infected with a coronavirus. Hours later, Trump was hospitalized.
