Resignation of Rumen Radev and the government

MRF calls for Rumen Radev’s resignation together with Boyko Borissov’s cabinet.

This was made clear in the speech of party leader Mustafa Karadayi. He noted that the Sokola Movement insisted on a cabinet of experts to prepare for the regular elections. In this cabinet, GERB must nominate the prime minister and the BSP as the second party to nominate the deputy prime ministers.

Rumen Radev, instead of uniting, is dividing the nation, believes the MRF.

Rumen Radev attacks the judges, attacks the prosecutors, thereby eroding the executive, legislative and judicial powers. With his actions he erodes the state and the state as a whole, and in the end today we have protests, with people with different points of view, with different connections. There is catharsis and awakening of civil society. This was stated by the leader of the MRF Mustafa Karadayi.

He pointed out that, on the one hand, he wants the resignation and an interim cabinet without a clear vision of what will happen next, and on the other hand, the impeachment of the president and the end of his term. He stressed that the MRF warned the GERB to form a one-party government and not to run into populism.

Karaday expressed the MRF’s position: resignation of the government, resignation of Radev. He suggested that in the next interim government the prime minister be appointed by the GERB and by the BSP by the deputy prime minister.

Clean air, clean water, clean energy, high technology – these were the MRF’s priorities, repeated since 2016 by the party, according to Karaday.
According to the MRF, the state needs:
1. A clear state budget to accommodate current and future crises

2. A clear program for the effective absorption of EU funds for COVID-19

3. A clear program for the absorption of EU funds from the multiannual financial framework

The way out of the current situation is that neither side of the revenge barricades should feel like a winner. To avoid revanchism, there must be an expert cabinet to meet the above three goals and prepare for fair elections.
