The record purchase of Real (Madrid) – Eden Hazard, has received a new muscle injury, his football club announced today. A brief statement from the White Ballet said that after testing, Azar was diagnosed with a “muscle injury to his right thigh.”
There is no date for this possible return of the wing to the field, but the Spanish media predict 20 days of treatment and no more games until the new year.
Belgian Hazard arrived at the Santiago Bernabéu before the start of last season for around 115 million euros from Chelsea. But his first season was severely interrupted by injuries and ankle surgery, which meant he started in just 14 of 38 games this season in the First Division.
During this campaign, he started just three games after injury and a coronavirus infection. He was substituted in the middle of the first half of Saturday’s loss by Alavés, when he felt a strain on his right thigh.
The games Hazard will miss include the First Division fixtures against Sevilla and Atlético de Madrid and the Champions League game next week at home against Borussia Monchengladbach.
