Real Madrid sold Tottenham defender for 30 million – Spain

Real Madrid and Tottenham have finalized the loan of defender Sergio Regilon. Spurs will pay 30 million euros for the 23-year-old footballer. The deal is a done deal, leaving the left-back to undergo medical examinations before it is officially announced.

Real Madrid and Tottenham are expected to announce the transfer of Regilon on Wednesday.

The contract between the two clubs includes a clause that will allow the Spanish giants to return the player in the next two years for an amount in the range of 35-40 million euros.

Thus, Regilon does not completely close the door to Real Madrid. Furthermore, Marcelo’s contract with the Spanish club expires in the summer of 2022.

The Kings were in talks with Manchester United about the transfer of Regilon, but the Red Devils did not accept some of the conditions that were imposed on them.

Last season, Regilon played on loan for Sevilla and won the Europa League trophy.
