Russian President Vladimir Putin said today that he is ready to work with any US president and will congratulate the winner of the US presidential election when all legal formalities are cleared, Reuters reported.
Putin has so far refrained from commenting on the issue, amid a lawsuit by Republican President Donald Trump in an attempt to reverse the outcome of the Nov.3 election, which Democrat Joe Biden won.

“We will work with anyone who has the confidence of the American people,” the Russian president said on national television. According to him, the winner must be named by his opponent or after legal confirmation of the election results as legitimate.
