Another edition of the anti-government protest in Sofia ended with a provocation after some of the protesters smashed the windows of a GERB office in Sofia’s Oborishte district.

A small number of people in the procession threw stones at the office windows and threw trash in front of the entrance. Most of the protesters distanced themselves from them as provocateurs, reports bTV. Then the procession headed to Eagle Bridge.

One of the organizers of the protest said it was a provocation from people who were sent especially to carry out this task. He explained that some of the men throwing stones were so drunk that it was difficult for them to stand.

Hundreds of citizens joined the 136th day of protests on Saturday, demanding the resignation of the government and the attorney general. First they blocked traffic in front of the old parliament building. The rally was called by the organizers a “National Protest Manifestation” and was titled “We are strong together.”

Protesters placed a wreath in front of the parliament building to commemorate the death of the 44th National Assembly, BNR reports. Police have intensified in the area and a police cordon has denied protesters close access to the building. This caused considerable tension because the protesters claimed that they only wanted to place a wreath and had no other intentions.

“Come and ask and receive the resignation of the Borissov government. We hope that they will refute Bulgaria’s 111th place in terms of freedom of expression and reflect our just protest!”, The organizers’ appeal to the Bulgarian media reads .

The event is organized by informal civil society organizations born during the protests of recent years: mothers of “The system kills us”, Justice for all, Orlovgrad-Protest, people from the presidential tent camp, people from the tent camp in front of the University of Sofia and others.

Many citizens complained that the media neglected them.

“At the beginning I came every day, I’m tired, because of my age, because of my commitments, there is a bit of disappointment with so much effort. And so much compromising material came out, and there are so obvious problems with the government, but nobody pays attention to us, ”said a participant in the demonstration in front of national radio.

Before BGNES, Kristina Vasileva explains that she came for the protest from Ruse and is convinced that the authorities listen to the voice of the people in the square, but they do nothing because it does not export them.

“I was an immigrant, but I came back to stay here and fight for the rights of our country and for this disorder and neglect to end. Let the young and intelligent rule. Safe from corruption now. “Mr Borissov clearly thinks we are sheep, no we are not sheep, we are human, we are smart and we think, and it is time for that to end,” he said.

According to her, young people are capable of governing and there are those who want to enter the government. The protest was attended by former ombudsman Maya Manolova, ABV leader Rumen Petkovi Gen. Dimitar Shivikov.
