Dozens of protesters gathered in front of the Bulgarian National Television (BNT) building. The discontent was organized by the Justice for All initiative and the BOEC associations, preceded by the participation of the Minister of Justice Desislava Akhladova in the program “Panorama” tonight in the public media.
A week ago there was a similar protest, when people wanted to speak to the Minister of Health after his participation in the same program. They eventually took him out of the building through a supposedly unused entrance. The minister’s car was guarded by the police as it passed among the protesters.
The situation tonight is calm as protesters surrounded all BNT exits in anticipation of Akhladova’s departure. Until shortly after 11 p.m., however, she was never seen leaving the building.
In a makeshift platform, some of the members of the civil associations complained that none of their representatives had been invited to participate in BNT programs.
There was also an alternate version of “Panorama” on stage, directed by journalist Kalin Manolov. His interlocutors include members of BOEC and “Justicia para todos”, and people who came to the BNT can also ask questions.
Shouting “Resign”, the protesters demanded the resignation of the general director of public media Emil Koshlukov. Eggs were also thrown at the BNT building.
