Sofia’s Dondukov Boulevard has been blocked by anti-government protesters and the attorney general. Today’s rally marks 150 days of discontent on the yellow cobblestones. During the demonstration, protesters threw rotten pumpkins at the Council of Ministers building.
Shortly before 4:00 pm the protesters invaded the Viennese market, removing fences at the entrance.
Earlier, protesters told BNR that they wanted a better and fairer future: “It’s about time you heard us, see us.
“I think the protest served its purpose, because that was our goal: to show the true face of the government. I think we succeeded,” said a disgruntled citizen of the government.
“We have shown that we will not reconcile, we will continue to protest, we want changes, and not, as everyone says, replacement,” said another outraged by the country’s government.
