According to Vitanov, the critical month will be November
In my opinion, at the moment there is no need to toughen measures against COVID-19, Professor Nikolay Vitanov told BNT.
The best option was 20,000 infected at the end of September. Thanks to the efforts of the better half of the Bulgarian people, we are moving well, Vitanov said in response to the question of whether a change in approach is necessary and whether measures against COVID-19 should be stricter.
In connection with the beginning of the school year, the mathematician noted that the first infected students appeared.
However, they were not infected at school, but earlier, Vitanov said.
When asked if there was an algorithm to attend the school year or to introduce distance learning, the teacher said that he thought there should be some infected students and closed schools, for example 7,000 infected students or 25 closed schools.
I am not worried about the school year, if the measures are observed, Vitanov said, adding thatthe idea has taken hold.
What awaits us from now on, we cannot miss the second wave, Vitanov said.
The critical month, in my opinion, will be November. In November, there will be a favorable development for the virus, as well as other viruses, Vitanov said.
