The Bulgarian authorities lost and fell asleep our natural preconditions to cope well with the pandemic. When winter comes, we will be surprised by the grotesque scenes of sick and awake people in front of hospitals. This is what sociologist Prof. Tsvetozar Tomov wrote in an angry comment this morning.
According to him, the authorities are not going to take adequate measures, “I don’t think they have any idea what these measures could be.”
The real culprits for the plight ahead are those who have lately been spewing thoughtless, half-hearted, hysterical, and irresponsible decisions, after doing absolutely nothing for months. It’s time to get very angry with those we need – adds Professor Tomov.
They will continue to suggest that the situation in our country is similar to that of the whole of Europe. In a country where three times fewer tests are carried out and mortality is three times higher than the European average, any attempt by a ruler to make such suggestions should end in immediate resignation, he insisted.
