Prof. Nachev: Many people, without being tested, are already carriers of the virus – Diseases

At the beginning of the crisis, the political decisions taken were extremely timely and precise. Bulgaria was cited as an example as the country that allowed the least spread of this infection. Unfortunately after that the measurements were relaxed and we see what it leads to. March was good, but October was bad because that’s the fact. I look at the total number of infected and it is established by the result of the PCR tests. This is not the truth, just the tip of the iceberg. Many people are already carriers of the virus without having been tested. However, the population coverage is much more serious, because we only know these figures. It came to this because we are not disciplined and at the beginning we were given the opportunity for many opinions. This was stated by the director of UMHAT “St. Ekaterina” Prof. Gencho Nachev in an interview for the program “This Saturday” on bTV.

“Thank God, a month after I was discharged, I feel good, I think the difficult period is over. My only symptom was a cough. It did not have a temperature higher than 36.9 degrees. He had easy fatigue and shortness of breath, but none of the other symptoms. It was difficult, but there are people who live it even harder, they enter our intensive care units, I did not make it, ” he said.

New cases of coronavirus increased by more than 200 per day

“At a time like this, a person takes stock and thinks that if something happens, they have left a lot of messy things in their life. It is very important not to lose faith at such a time and not to feel nihilistic, but to be combative. After all this mental experience, a person adjusts to a new life and reconsiders their value system. I realized that I was not always good enough with others and I thought again that I could give more to society and that I should try to be better, “said Professor Nachev.

Remdesivir was not available in Bulgaria when he was being treated with it. For me, the treatment was effective and was included on the ninth day. The sooner you start with it, the better the effect of the treatment. It had an effect on me. They were even hesitant to include it due to the side effects. I signed that I want to get involved and it had an effect, Nachev added.

We received almost 2,600 vials of the drug remdesivir

In Bulgaria, everyone understands everything and everyone allows themselves without thinking about the consequences, a platform was given to people who were against the measures, and they should not have done it. We are at the extremes: either we create panic or we neglect everything and tell ourselves that we will not be caught, Nachev added.
