The former rector of the University of Sofia, Prof. Ivan Ilchev, reacted spontaneously in the BNT study to the inclusion in the air from Shipka Peak of the president of the National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva.
“God, what nonsense to be in charge of the Bulgarian state!” The professor said at a time when his microphone in the studio was not yet turned off from the hardware, “Masters of the Air” reports.
The history teacher was a guest of the holiday study at BNT on the day of the national holiday on March 3. He commented on the feeling of freedom in each person and the rejection of the generally accepted authorities.
At one point, the presenter of the program interrupted his words to include directly from Shipka Peak the speech to the media of Tsveta Karayancheva, in which he again scolded President Radev, announcing that Shipka’s holidays are under the patronage of the president of the Parliament, and the president, if he wants to speak, it’s his job.
Prof. Ivan Ilchev is a historian and lecturer at the University of Sofia. He was rector of Alma Mater for two terms in the period 2007-2015.
