“It is too early to talk about making the measures more flexible. We will do a detailed analysis and then we can decide, which measures to make more flexible, if at all. As Minister of Health, I will insist that the measures remain the same after December 21, because all human life is important “. This was stated by the Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, during an inspection at the Bulgarian Red Cross.
Antigen tests are included in the statistics after December 21.
“All measures must be synchronized. Nightclubs must remain closed after December 21. Schools and kindergartens may open after the New Year, because the holidays are approaching. We have to decide on restaurants and big spots I insist that everything is as safe as possible for Bulgarian citizens. The price of 150 people who lost their lives is too high, “added Prof. Angelov.
He and Vice Minister Slavi Pachalov checked the quantities of antigen tests and protective equipment available for medical personnel in the country.
“About 1.2 million antigen tests will reach all hospitals by the end of this week,” said Professor Angelov.
He added that the commission is working on the procedure to recognize this type of evidence. Once completed, people with a clinical picture and positive antigen test will be included in the statistics.
More than 30% positive COVID samples and 497 new cases on Sunday
According to him, in many countries this type of evidence is not recognized.
“We are very interested in the presence of symptoms. The rapid antigen test will also help to be able to talk about the COVID-19 disease. When we match the tests, patients who have a positive antigen test and a clinical picture will fall into the hypothesis of a patient with coronavirus. Their first-line contacts will have to be in quarantine. Family doctors will be able to do antigen tests and direct them to the referrals who are issuing at this time, “he explained.
DEADLINE: Sofia’s doctors decide on the vaccine.
As for the means of protection, he assured that they will reach all RHIs in the country.

Prof. Angelov expressed his wish to be the first to get vaccinated, adding that this is the responsibility of all doctors.
“Thanks to vaccines we have gone through many infections that have resulted in the loss of many lives. I am not entering the first phase because I am not a first-line doctor. The fact that the incidence has fallen below 600 people per 100,000 inhabitants gives a ray of hope.
