The REC checks the signal
A problem arose at 4 MIR in Veliko Tarnovo about two hours after the start of election day. The DEC has ordered an investigation into a complaint from one of the political parties. The problem was that his candidate list got confused with the software when betting on automatic voting. This was pointed out by the citizens who cast their vote. They stated that the preference they indicated did not match the name on the list. They asked DEC to instruct the CEC to stop automatic voting.
“It is being established if there is a software problem. We have indicated the correct coalition list. We have indicated that the list has been sent correctly in the system. If there is a software problem, we have proposed to stop the machine.” vote and continue with the ballot, “said Desislava. Yoncheva, president of DEC – Veliko Tarnovo.
It is not clear what will happen to the votes of the people who have voted so far. It is also unknown whether the appeal will affect only the party with whom an error has been made. The voting machine continues and the complaint is already on file.
The party in question insists that if the voting machine with the wrong list is not stopped, it will insist on the cancellation of the vote in 4 MIR.
