By order of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Mihail Zlatanov has been appointed Deputy Minister of the Interior.

Mihail Zlatanov graduated from the high school “Vasil Levski” in Veliko Tarnovo with a master’s degree and the military academy “GS Rakovski”. He also has a master’s degree in Public Administration, acquired at the Academy of the Ministry of the Interior. His professional development is related to the Ministry of the Interior, where he began to work in 1986 and successively held various positions.

In the period from January 1986 to June 2018, his service passed to the Directorate of Gendarmerie – GDNP – Ministry of the Interior, and for the last four years he was its deputy director. From June 2018 to early October 2018, he was operational assistant to the Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior.

From October 1, 2018 to the present, he holds the position of Chief of the Political Cabinet of the Minister of the Interior.
