In added time in the first half, Wojciech Szczesny had to react to protect his goal from another goal. Oliveira cleared space in the penalty area and fired instantly, but guard Bianconeri managed.

Porto was better in extra time and only in the 100th minute Marega wasted a great opportunity to realize it for his team. The Frenchman played with his head, but his shot was too weak and easily deflected by Szczesny.
In the 110th minute Deyan Kulushevski showed individual class and delivered a promising shot that was nevertheless blocked at the last minute by the opposing defense. Porto’s response was very quick, but Marko Gruic’s shot was also blocked.
In the 115th minute Sergio Oliveira scored a free-kick and with a powerful shot to the ground sent the ball into the net of Szczesny, who could have intervened much better. Just two minutes later, Juventus returned a goal through Adrien Rabio, who intercepted a cross from a corner kick and surprised Marcesín.
Thus, for the second consecutive year, the “Old Lady” says goodbye to her ambitions in the Champions League in the eighth final phase. For their part, Sergio Conceição’s boys keep dreaming.
