The naBBoo songwriter, who worked with Kylie Minogue and is on the Grammy Awards jury, wrote a song for Polly Genova and the performance aired on MTV. In How we end there is another star participation and she is the author of the text: the singer Romy Dya. Music lovers know her for her hit So Far Away, which she released with David Guetta and Martin Garrix. The song is included in Poli Genova’s new album “Yours”, which is actually a totally international production.

For the first time, our most successful contestant at the Eurovision Song Contest is taking on the task of producing herself and getting off to a very ambitious start. She brings together Bulgarian and foreign authors to publish her new tray, which she has been working on for two years. In fact, for the first time, a Bulgarian singer released such an album, with such a large foreign participation. And that

Foreign,

as happened with How we ended.

With the release of “Yours”, Polly Genova appeared in a completely different light, the teenage look was replaced by a beautiful femininity. “My friends tell me that I have finally grown up. I feel like a woman in the full sense of the word and that is why my son Daniel deserves credit. He is a great miracle for me,” says Polly. She has a very strong connection with her son, which these days happens at the age of one year and five months. By the way, she wants you to spend as much time together as possible. She definitely didn’t want to have a babysitter to help her, and all the care was in her hands and in the hands of her father, Joseph Chardon. Of course, whenever they get the chance and they’re not at work, their parents get involved. “I consciously chose to look at Daniel alone. My parents have always been very busy. They love me endlessly, they always took great care of me, they gave everything, but I was born in a very difficult time, in the process of transition and now I realize why my grandparents, aunts had to take care of me … It is the direct connection with them and that is why now I do everything possible so that my son is with me almost constantly, even at work ”, explains the singer.

She jokes that the little girl probably looks like her because she is so crazy and energetic. She constantly makes multiple targets. At 35 degrees outside in your house, the heat suddenly becomes unbearable and it turns out that

at the highest level. Another time, he was in a hurry to take a shower and the water was ice cold, but Daniel somehow managed to stop the boiler. He managed to create targets so fast that they often found out about them later. They live in a house and in various places they had to put up barriers, which won’t stop it anytime soon. Due to its agility, it is necessary to constantly have an adult glued to it to keep a close eye on it.

Due to the different nationalities of his parents, Daniel will have to communicate in several languages. Polly speaks to her in Bulgarian, her father, who is from the Netherlands with her mother from the Philippines, speaks to her in Dutch. And the parents themselves use English with each other.

Polly Genova and Joseph met in 2016 at the BG Radio Awards. She came to the after party and asked her in English to take a picture of her. The following year they met again at the same event, and by then their love was already on fire. Joseph is also involved in show business, the company he works for for stage lighting, and at the awards he had to make sure everything was right. You lived in the Netherlands, but when she and Polly found out that they were expecting a child, she asked him to stay here because she knew that she would have months when she would need her loved ones. Now he works remotely from here, but usually travels to his home country, and in many cases the singer accompanies him.

Although she jokes that her son is as crazy as she is, Polly Genova was a very obedient girl until she was a teenager. Then, as with any child that age, things start to change. She adds that she was calm but wayward, she always knew what she wanted and with a serious dose of stubbornness she defended her own.

She is grateful to them for all that she has accomplished in her career. The rehearsals with the other children in the group were at the Lyubomir Pipkov School of Music. Many of her friends were already studying and she wanted to apply too. Her parents planned another concept, at that time she had great success with English, she went to the Olympics. And her mother was convinced that Polly would continue her education in English high school or focus on design, because she always painted clothing models. However, the future star firmly insisted that music is what she wants to do, and the director of the music school Milka Miteva introduced her to Professor Sava Dimitrov, who is the founder of the clarinet school in Bulgaria. So she prepared for the exams. “I had a great opportunity to take my first steps with the person who wrote the textbooks. They introduced me to the world of classical music in the best possible way, and then their grandson took me to school. They are wonderful people who they gave a great musical culture and I am very grateful for that ”, says Poli Genova.

Now it’s very rare for her to play. She adds that playing an instrument is like an active sport, you have to keep it up, but it is possible that at some point you want to return to it. It is possible that she includes it in one of her songs, she loves the clarinet and its sound.

He continued his higher education as a principal. He turned to this specialty to try something more related to art.

And this is also a path that it could take over time. It is played in the cinema, in the theater. She has participated in the series “Dear Heirs” on BTV. And for the last ten years she has also participated in musicals.

In 2011, the charming singer represented our country at Eurovision. Her great success came in 2016, when she returned to this stage and reached the prestigious fourth place. A year earlier, she was the host of the children’s edition of the contest, which took place in Bulgaria. “The best moments are the big stage, it can be compared with the great musical events, because there are professionals of very high level. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest team was completely foreign, there were people who worked at the MTV awards, the ones who do different musical formats in Italy, Malta, England, Scotland. The contacts I made, the experience I gained, the opportunity to work on such a big stage, these things are indispensable, “he says.

She was not afraid, but she was excited. To balance her emotions, before each outing she would stay alone in the dressing room and sing many of her favorite Bulgarian songs: “You are beautiful, my forest” and “Tell me, white cloud”. She also thought about her grandmother, thanks to whom she gets involved in music. She is the person who has given her last years to take her everywhere, to rehearsals, concerts and support her. Her parents didn’t have time and her grandmother really put a lot of effort into her development as a singer. “Without her, I would never have been able to achieve what I have achieved so far,” said Poli Genova.
