The vocalist of the famous Bulgarian band PIF Dimo ​​Stoyanov died at the age of 45, BTV reported.

He was hospitalized in Sofia with a coronavirus, his relatives confirmed.

On December 9, a call for a blood plasma donation was posted on the group’s Facebook page because his condition was serious.

The next day, the group reported, that a man had been found to donate blood and that his condition had stabilized. However, the singer did not manage to overcome the disease.

The PIF group was founded by Dimo ​​Stoyanov and Ivan Velkov in 1992 in Varna under the name Resemblence. During this period his music was in English and his main performances were in Hungary. Since 1999 they have been playing in Sofia under the name PIF (Patriots In Fashion), together with Emilian Bonev, Zhelyaz Zhelyazov and Lyubomir Petkov.

In 2000 they released their debut album “PIF”, which is very popular and contains some of their most famous songs: “Fairy Tale”, “Wheel” and “Travel”. This album also gives them the MM TV Award for Album of the Year.
