Last night, on the way back from the town of Panagyurishte, the bus carrying the Belasitsa football team crashed. The reason for the accident, which occurred 70 km away on the Trakia highway, was the driver’s illness. As a result, the bus derailed, fortunately maintaining stability without turning around. It was later established that the driver suffered a heart attack.
The players and coaches, as well as the accompanying team, feel good physically. Also present are representatives of the club’s management, Ivan Zlatinski and Georgi Petrov. The Petrich Municipality immediately sent a second bus from Plovdiv to pick up the men’s team. The mayor of the municipality, Dimitar Bratchkov, maintains constant contact with the representatives of the team.
All team members who arrive at Petrich decide that they want a medical consultation and will be examined again at the hospital. OFK Belasitsa hosts FC Oborishte on matchday six of the Southwestern Third League. Petrichani was victorious and added three points to his assets.
