North Macedonia’s head of state Stevo Pendarovski sees no need for changes to the constitution, New Macedonia said.
Today it was said that Bulgarians can be mentioned in the Macedonian constitution. Pendarovski said that the Bulgarians had not made such a request.
At the moment, he does not see the need for any changes. This opportunity was announced by the Macedonian Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani.
The Bulgarians in the country are referred to as an ethnic community. The diplomat said he would not allow his country to be accused of exerting pressure on ethnic groups.
North Macedonia protects collective and state rights. Negotiations on the issue continue.
It is added that Bulgarians in North Macedonia should feel like free citizens.
