Several hundred people participated in the traditional peace marches organized over the weekend in many German cities, DPA reported, cited by BTA.

In Munich, about 1,000 people participated in the event, demanding the elimination of nuclear weapons. They also spoke out against the use of drones in military operations. In Münster, about 100 activists participated in a cycling march for peace. In Mainz, about 100 people participated in a march for peace. There were similar events in Nuremberg, Saabruken and Dusseldorf. They were supported by various parties, religious groups, peace support groups, and climate activist groups. There will be similar events during the Easter weekend in Germany.

At the same time, thousands of people gathered today in Stuttgart to protest the coronavirus restrictions. The protest took place in the Kanstater Vazen festival area on the banks of the Neckar River. The protest was organized by the Lateral Thought movement, which unites far-right, anti-vaccine and Kovid-19 deniers.

Most of the protesters did not wear masks. They also ignored calls from the police to follow sanitary regulations. The protesters marched through the city center and ended up in a town square. They carried banners that read “End of Kovid’s dictatorship.” The protesters called for an end to the blockade, said they did not believe the official figures on the number of people infected with the coronavirus and spoke out against the obligation to be vaccinated. The protest in Stuttgart was not marked by major incidents.

Between 15,000 and 20,000 people gathered in Kassel on March 20 for a similar protest, which ended in clashes with the police and several arrests.
