The director of the capital’s Alexandrovska Hospital, Boris Bogov, told Nova TV that Bulgarians are number one in the European Union in terms of holiday trips abroad, so PCR tests are not free. His conclusion came after being asked several times why Bulgaria is in one of the last places in the tests and if it is not related to the fact that they are not free.

According to him, the first strict restrictive measures introduced in March apparently did not scare the Bulgarians and in the summer many of them decided to spend their holidays in Greece. To enter our southern neighbor in summer it was necessary to present a negative PCR test. There is a similar requirement for many other countries in the world.

“We are the first to go to vacation destinations, that’s for sure. Everyone who went on vacation must pay for the test. Not everyone who went for a walk in South Park can decide to go through the Alexandrovska hospital triage and just do a proof. That can’t happen, “Bogov said.

He added that the vaccines could be administered in various hospitals where antigen tests are performed in triage units. According to him, mobile test teams can be retrained as vaccination teams. And to show the public that there is nothing dangerous in the vaccine and it is recommended, Bogov proposed to prioritize celebrities, including hosts of the morning block of “Nova TV,” to beat it on national air. .

The director of the Alexandrovska Hospital added that 37 people with coronavirus were in the hospital in October, and in November they reached 297. He added that last year about 200 people died in the hospital, and this year only for October and November. 57 people died. According to him, in about two weeks there will probably be a drop in mortality in the country.
