At around 11:00 am on Sunday, a 68-year-old Pazardzhik resident visited the battlefield in the Russian market of Plovdiv, where he was attacked and robbed. Her purse was forcibly removed – a kind of purse, containing a wallet with the amount of BGN 500 and personal documents, and the attackers fled to “Sheker Mahala”.
From the immediate operational search activities carried out, the perpetrators of the theft were identified and arrested: three people of Roma origin: a 28-year-old man and two 13 and 15-year-old children. During a conversation, the people admitted that they had taken the money and, to cover up their criminal actions, burned the stolen ID and wallet on a stove in the Tartar’s house.
The money was found, seized and included as material evidence in the pre-trial process. In connection with the robbery, the older man and the 15-year-old boy were detained at the Third District Police Department, and the 13-year-old boy was placed in the Temporary Housing Home for Minors in Plovdiv. Under the supervision of the District Attorney’s Office, agents from the Third Regional Police Department and an investigating police officer continue to work on the case.
