Partial quarantine goes into effect in Turkey

A partial ban on going out on weekends will go into effect in Turkey today, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Twitter, according to BGNES. Under the new measure, citizens will not have the right to leave from 8:00 p.m. on Saturday to 10:00 a.m. on Sunday and from 8:00 p.m. on Sunday to 5:00 a.m. on Monday.

Other additional measures in the fight against the coronavirus, which will come into effect from 8:00 p.m. tonight, provide for the working hours of shopping centers, grocery stores, hairdressers only in the interval between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. closing of cinemas, concert halls, theaters, sports halls.

Starting tonight, restaurants will offer or deliver only homemade food. Those over 65 may go out between 10 and 13 hours, and those under 20, between 13 and 16 hours.
