World-famous blues singer Oscar Benton died at the age of 71 at his home in Immuiden on November 8. The reason for the death of the legendary musician was a heavy arrest.
The sad news was also announced on the musician’s official website, where they wrote:

Just a year ago, Benton was in serious condition after an emergency operation.
The musician was in a long coma after an accident in 2010, just when he had returned to his career after a long absence from the stage. A period of struggle for life has passed, and when it was announced that he would no longer be able to perform concerts, sing and record, he would unexpectedly return.
Since then, he has been dating and collaborating with the band Johnny Feel Good, as one of the guitarists – Johnny Laporte is the author of his new songs. Together they give concerts in Holland, France, Romania and Turkey.
Dutchman Oscar Benton (born Ferdinand van Eitz) became famous with his group, Oscar Benton Blues Band, which he founded in 1967. He released 3 albums with her as a worldwide hit, making his song “The Bensonhurst Blues”.
He is the author of the unforgettable long song “Boo-boo”, written by Alain Delon for his film “For the skin of a policeman”.
