Solving the problems of public transport, the taxi industry and upcoming innovations related to reducing harmful emissions of automobile gases were discussed during a meeting of Deputy Minister of Transport Angel Popov, Deputy Mayor Todor Chonov and the director of OP “Organization of Transport and Control”. “Plamen Valkov.
Among the topics of conversation were possible changes in the legislation regarding the improvement of urban mobility in large settlements.
Todor Chonov informed the Deputy Minister of the project for the introduction of low-emission zones in the central part of Plovdiv, where only high-class eco-cars with the respective stickers will be allowed, as well as the proposals for the introduction of new tariffs for the taxi industry .
According to the changes established in the draft amendment to the Ordinance on the determination and administration of local rates and prices for services, taxi drivers will pay a license fee of BGN 80, BGN 50 in case of change in circumstances the registration certificate issued; BGN 5 in case of change in the driver and car lists of an issued registration certificate and BGN 20 in case of issuance of a duplicate of a registration certificate.
The two of them also discussed updating the system in the Control Center.
