One company paid BGN 16,000 for the murder of Julia, another left her daughter to pay a loan of BGN 27,000

JULIA ANGELOVA

An insurer paid BGN 16,000 to Yulia Angelova’s daughter, who was hit by a car under her accident policy, but the one who guaranteed her BGN 27,000 loan left her daughter to pay it.

Angelova, 34, decided to take out life insurance. On February 18, the company deposited the money into the bank account of their 9-year-old daughter. The insurer wanted nothing more than the death certificate of the woman who was run over near Sozopol when she was returning on foot after being in a restaurant at the end of July last year. The driver fled.

And even though they were right about a company, the company Angelova secured her loan with still fits. Julia’s nine-year-old daughter continues to pay off the loan. The child has already paid more than 3,000 BGN, although after the publication of “24 Chasa”, the Financial Supervision Commission initiated an inspection. It is still ongoing, actively working on it, the commission said.

The reason the loan insurer is not reimbursing her is that she wants expert reports on whether Angelova was drunk. There is a point in the policy that if alcohol is the cause of death, the company should not pay. In this case, however, it is irrelevant whether Julia was drunk, since it was clearly established that the driver was to blame for the accident and Angelova was walking according to all the rules. The tests themselves have been in the works for a long time, which indicates the presence of alcohol in the blood just over 3 per thousand.

Angelova’s family hopes the killer will be charged. He has already been arrested once, but released due to lack of sufficient evidence.
