The working hours of all restaurants in Plovdiv and the region from today are limited to 23:30. The allowed power of music is 85 decibels. This was announced at an extraordinary press conference by regional governor Dani Kanazireva. The briefing was requested by mail at Plovdiv24.bg “Signal: Bar plays music until 4 AM, Plovdiv resident in shock!”
Kanazireva said that she immediately spoke to the restaurant manager, as such parties are prohibited and clubs can operate until 23:30. It turned out that the restaurant is rented and the contract explicitly states that its working hours are until 11:30 p.m.
Mayor Zdravko Dimitrov assured Kanazireva that none of his deputies were present at the party. “I can’t say who attended this party. I was surprised,” he admitted, adding that he didn’t know how many hours the party lasted.
“Our concerns were the Halloween parties on Friday and Saturday. I did not expect to have any problems on Monday,” added the district governor.
The district’s central crisis office will hold an absentee meeting after today’s incident to discuss the new restaurant restrictions and the power of music. Such parties will not be possible, Kanazireva is sure. Again he called on all municipalities to get involved in monitoring compliance with anti-epidemic measures.
The director of the Interior Ministry, Senior Commissioner Yordan Rogachev, also commissioned an inspection of the case from the Soho Club, and the results will be announced.
The BFSA must impose a penalty for non-compliance with the orders, as this institution is responsible for the establishments.
