The two heads of government discussed the topics of the upcoming video conference of the leaders of the European Union tonight.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister welcomed the report of the German Presidency of the Council of the EU on the progress of the EU coordinated approach in response to the pandemic. Borissov stressed that the European Union must continue its path towards unity in the fight against the effects of the virus.
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov thanked Chancellor Merkel for the agreement reached by the German Presidency with the EP on the next multiannual financial framework and the recovery package.
