The Bulgarian side is preparing to offer a new idea for the definition of Gotse Delchev. He will be identified as a Bulgarian revolutionary and teacher who sought the liberation of the Bulgarian autonomous region of Macedonia, the Macedonian newspaper Republika reported.
The Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, was well informed about the proposal. It will take place at the next meeting of the Joint Committee on Historical Affairs.
The proposal is considered indecent. It is said that a strategy is being developed to prepare Macedonian society for its adoption.
Zaev is expected to urge Macedonian officials to accept the proposal. The decision will be announced at a joint meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, where the issue will be resolved.
