From 00:00 on December 21, 2020 until January 31, 2021, it is prohibited to enter the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria through all border crossings, by air, sea, rail and road transport of all persons arriving at the starting point of departure. of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This was ordered by the Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov with his Order № RD-01-720 / 12.20.220.
The prohibition does not apply to Bulgarian citizens or to persons with permanent, long-term or long-term residence on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, or to members of their families. The Ministry of Health notes that upon arrival in Bulgaria, they are subject to a mandatory 10-day quarantine at their home or other accommodation, where they have indicated that they will reside.
The move is due to a new strain of COVID-19, which is reportedly spreading across the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Bulgaria temporarily suspends flights to and from the UK
We remind you that today it was decided to temporarily suspend flights from the UK to Bulgaria and from Bulgaria to the UK from tonight, from 00:00 on December 21, 2020 to January 31, 2021.
