BSP leader Cornelia Ninova volunteered for the COVID ward of the former Sofia district hospital. She is a nurse and her wish was to work anonymously, her acquaintances revealed.
Despite the protective suit and mask, which changed her beyond recognition, the social leader, however, was identified by those lying in the special room by voice while changing the sheets in one of the rooms. They immediately called their relatives to show off who was taking care of them.
According to the patients, Ninova dealt with the disposal of biological and hospital waste, disinfected the room. Their commitments as volunteer nurses included caring for patients, including those in the terminal phase.
Ninova recovers after passing COVID a month ago. Days later, she announced that she would volunteer, but declined to give details. Even the closest members of her group were unfamiliar with the details of her volunteer mission, and all they knew was that the leader wanted to help incognito.
