New rules: only one letter and one color will indicate the number of appliances they consume at home

As of March 1 of next year, the new European Union regulations on energy efficiency labels for household appliances will come into force. They will be introduced in stages until 2030, and from March 2021 they will apply only to dishwashers, washing machines and washing machines, combined with dryers, refrigerators, televisions and electronic screens.

What’s new is that instead of the current scale from A +++ to F, the energy classes will be from A to G.

In the upper right corner of the label there will be a QR code that will take the customer to a single EU product database (EPREL), which provides additional information on product characteristics. Colors are also preserved, from dark green for the most effective products to dark red for the lowest class.

The biggest confusion at first will be the fact that on the new scale there will be no class A or B devices for at least some time. The reason is that the upper classes of the scale remain free for future innovations and the current A +++ class on the new scale will. equals C.
