The Union of Automobile Manufacturers and its official importers in Bulgaria have presented several interesting proposals that will be addressed to the government of our country.
It is about creating a so-called common registry in which absolutely every car has a unique file. It will include car mileage, annual technical inspections, repairs, and car-related insurance events.
Another thing that the AAP offers is that every used car entering the territory of Bulgaria is entered into this registry, and before that a detailed technical inspection is carried out.
The other thing that importers of new cars in our country want is for the government to approve a “scraping program”, with which anyone who returns a car older than 15 years and wants to buy a new one will receive a cash bonus.
The offer is for BGN 10,000 for an electric car, BGN 7,500 for a hybrid and BGN 5,000 for an eco voucher for a new car with an internal combustion engine, which complies with the Euro 6d standard. The money must come from the payment of VAT for used cars entering the territory of Bulgaria.
And the latest proposal, emerging from the car importers guild, is to allow online registrations and the submission of documents to the traffic police to be done remotely with the help of an electronic signature. The lightening of the gray sector in repair shops is also part of the measures that, according to the AAP, the State must take.
