11 of the new cases with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours are from the outbreak of the infection in the nursing home in the town of Gara Oreshets. The tests of 8 of those staying there, as well as 3 of the staff, are positive.

Therefore, the total number of infected households and personnel becomes 15 out of 41. This is indicated by repeated samples taken at the social institution. Last week, 4 positive samples of residential home care were confirmed. Meanwhile, today there are two positive samples in Vidin, with a total of 73 infected.

People with new positive samples are in a separate flat in the home, and staff with positive samples are quarantined in the home. The condition of the people in the home is good.

“They do not need hospitalization at this time, but if they show symptoms, they will be admitted to the hospital,” said Dr. Ventsislav Vladinski, director of RZI-Vidin.

The same people are being cared for both at home and in health. Staff will remain there 14 days without permission. No doctor

“Any delay in the transport of these people is dangerous to me. There are people in this House who have concomitant illnesses, who worsen their condition for hours for our eyes,” said Dimovo Mayor Svetoslav Slavchev.

During the past 24 hours, two coronavirus-infected patients died in a Vidin hospital: a 72-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman, who were the first in the neurology department with a stroke and various accompanying diseases. However, the hospital suggests that the patients were infected before admission. “They were quite damaged. After the main pathway of the clinical stroke, they were transferred to the rehabilitation pathway. So these patients had serious health problems,” said Dr. Iveta Naydenova, attorney for St. Petka Hospital, Vidin.

Vidin hospital is awaiting the results of another 116 samples taken by medical personnel.
