Tsvetomir Naydenov said that if fans of both teams decide whether CSKA and CSKA 1948 will join in the First League, not their administration. He gave an interview to Blitz. Here is what he said:
Mr. Naidenov, today the fate of the Second League will be clear. You have already firmly stated your position. However, what will the native elite look like with two CSKAs if CSKA 1948 enters the efbet League?
– This will be a competition – normal and fair, I hope without excess. A CSKA started from scratch. It was established on July 19, 2016 at the Military Club. The meeting was attended by 79 people who paid the membership. The other CSKA was made with a lot more money. Litex was renamed CSKA-Sofia and entered the First League directly, so as not to lose the interest of the spectators.
Is it possible in this situation to have a union between the two CSKAs?
– This will be decided by the fans. Every team in Sofia and Bulgaria is struggling to attract more and more fans. Whether a merger issue is to be discussed will be up to the fans, not the administration of the two clubs.
How do you think the script for the dramas will play out in Levski?
– I keep in touch with Titi Papazov. I am informed about the situation as a football fan. Titi seems optimistic to me and that there is a solution to the problem. I know him as a good sports leader and I know he doesn’t talk nonsense. Obviously you have a solution. Fans can trust him after he managed to keep Levski basketball years ago. Then he fought with two levs in his pocket and accomplished his mission.
But the actions have not yet arrived?
“Well, they hadn’t arrived until last night …”
He posted a Facebook post in which he wrote that Vasil Bozhkov will have a hard time sharing.
– Well, I keep saying that if you say something, the opposite may happen. So Titi has one thing in mind. In fact, I warned you to have one thing in mind.
Well, Bozhkov gives the shares to Titi and what will happen next?
– Ask Papazov. I already told myself that Titi has a solution to the problem. However, how you will solve it, you must announce to the media and the football community.
Some time ago he announced that he is ready to help Levski financially change ownership. Is it really so?
– Titi said that it is not moral to support Levski after Bozhkov. Then we will comply with your statement. But here I will reveal something interesting. After Levski’s sponsorship was terminated, for a year, from January 2019 to January 2020, my Naydenovi family donated 41,000 BGN to Levski each month. This makes a total of just under 500,000 BGN and I want to clarify: it was donated money, not in the form of advertising and sponsorship. This was donated money.
