Ambitious blonde Doni Vasileva won the national contest “Mrs. Baba Universe” in 2016, when she was 45 years old, with two daughters, Ruslana and Elitsa, and two grandchildren.
Donnie is well known among the secular elite. Over the years he has been involved in all kinds of businesses: he has sold cars, made insurance, traded cosmetics, exported paper to Greece, ran a clothing store and a children’s club. He is the author of more than 200 songs created for Bulgarian artists, including the names of popular singers Sophie Marinova and Bonnie.
He became popular with the general public after his participation in “The Farm”, where he admitted that he lived as a family with the scandalous former director of “Toplofikatsiya”, Sofia Valentin Dimitrov. After leaving the show, Donnie is a regular guest on social events and the media.
In late 2020, the blue-eyed beauty unexpectedly dissolved her marriage to former Strelcha mayor Stoyno Chachov. Her ex-husband’s loving actions hurt her soul, but she steeled herself and filed for divorce in an instant. Doni Vasileva was born on March 4, 1971. On the eve of her 50th birthday she gave an interview to the Weekend newspaper.
– What do you wish for your birthday?
– I want to be healthy, to be healthy relatives and friends. Everything else is second. I wish, of course, to be able to carry out all the plans that I have in my work. I wish you a beautiful and real relationship.
– How was the past year for you personally and professionally?
– Last year was different from all the previous ones not only for me but for all humanity. We all go through a cruel ordeal of survival, physically, emotionally, and mentally, anyway. I was trapped because the announcement of the pandemic almost coincided with the start of my new business. So in practice I was doomed, but I did not give up, on the contrary, I gritted my teeth and dedicated myself to my work literally 24 hours a day and survived. I suffered twice from Kovid-19, but I survived with God’s help and I am very grateful. The end of the year was absolutely shocking for me, because more unexpectedly, my marriage fell apart. Well, I didn’t break down, I survived. In general, the past year has shown me that I am a surviving species (laughs).
– What are you doing right now?
– I am currently producing my own brand of white cosmetics under my name – “Dony cosmetics”. Making homemade creams, masks, lotions and all kinds of ointments has been my hobby for over 20 years. I let my friends try my experiments and they asked me why I don’t take it more seriously. He also secretly dreamed of it, but he was always busy with something else. 2 years ago the right time came to realize this dream. I made 3 products with rose oil, rose water and pure gold and started. Now I have 12 products of two series, markets in several European countries and I am working on a new limited series. Dreams come true only when we work hard to make them come true. Everything else I call “fantasies.” In my spare time, no matter how small, lately I keep reading. Reading has remained my favorite hobby since I was a child. I am very happy to have infected my daughters with this passion of mine. I really hope they do it with my grandchildren. Life is wonderful until 50, and then it gets great!
– Do you have an unforgettable birthday to tell us about?
– All my birthdays were very memorable. Since I was little I remember the big birthdays that my parents gave me with great affection. There were always plenty of guests, music, dancing, entertainment, and sumptuous delicacies. I’m so used to that and maybe that’s why I love my birthdays so much, I always celebrate them out loud. This birthday is more special because I am 50 years old and it is highly anticipated, but due to the current situation the party will be postponed for a few months. On the other hand, it will be the loudest of all so far. After all, there is a birthday that I will never forget. He came back in 1977, when I was only 6 years old. Our house was full of guests again. They put me in a chair to sing a song when one of the biggest earthquakes in Bulgaria started. There was unprecedented panic, everyone was running outside, but with the glasses, the party continued on the patio. Long after that, there was talk of that day.
– What is your attitude towards gifts? Do you say what you want or do you like surprises?
– I personally agree to receive and give gifts as a very special gesture of attention and love. They both give me pleasure. I prefer surprises when I receive, but let me ask what people prefer when I give. The best for me are the unexpected gifts, the ones that don’t have a reason.
– What is the best and worst moment of your life?
– The worst moment of my life is when I lost my firstborn. I do not wish for anyone to experience such shocking and pervasive pain. And there are so many good moments in my life that it is difficult for me to define just one as the “more”. I am one of those people who try to see only the good in the other. I look for beauty and goodness and I find them around me, every day. I am an incorrigible optimist and I believe that the best moment of my life is yet to come.
– How do you see yourself in five years?
– In five years I see several more grandchildren. Surrounded by healthy and successful family and friends. He managed to develop his brand as best as possible outside of Bulgaria. And why didn’t you experience the best time of your life ?! God willing!
– Are you worried about old age?
– I will quote Meryl Streep, who said it brilliantly: “It is good to embrace aging. Life is priceless and when you have lost many people, you realize that each day is a gift. Therefore, value the Today and live every moment. And do not regret that you are getting older, this is a privilege that many are denied. I could not say it better. Maybe I just add: let’s grow old with dignity. It is completely unnecessary to try to look like 20 year old girls. It is ridiculous and offensive to us as women and as individuals.
– Is the destiny of man predetermined? Did you feel his intervention?
– I believe in destiny and I feel the intervention all the time. In recent years I have learned to relax and trust her. When it’s difficult for me, I say to myself: “Relax, fate knows its job.” It reminds me of me in the most unexpected way, as it did in December 2020. Then it made me pick up my ex-husband’s phone and find out what turned out to be catastrophic for me: systematic infidelity and betrayal. However, I am not one of those people who wait only for fate, because I believe that he loves brave and prepared people.
