“It’s time to strengthen the whole system, fully understand the measurements and work as a team.” This is what the Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Kostadin Angelov, told reporters in Shumen.

“Changes must be made very carefully in the system and we must try very carefully to solve all the unresolved problems in the health system. I’m very restrained in terms of carrying out reforms in a state of crisis that we find ourselves in, because we don’t have the time and resources to assess the overall impact on the overall system, “Angelov explained.

The situation in Shumen is extremely serious, the beds are exhausted, said the Minister of Health.

Again a jump in coronavirus infections, the number of hospital admissions is growing

“The capacity of the city hospital is full. We have taken steps next week to open additional beds on the territory of the state psychiatric hospital and, consequently, to open beds on the territory of the former pulmonary hospital, “Angelov said.” The situation is extremely serious. What worries us the most is that people still do not believe there is a problem, do not believe that such a disease exists and continue to go to massive concentrations, although in the Shumen region they are prohibited by order. ”.

The Health Minister also commented on the dissatisfaction with the so-called “green corridors” for people over 65, explaining that it is difficult to understand the logic of those who do not comply with the orders issued by the ministry. According to him, there is also no understanding on the part of young people.

“I agree with myself that in a state of crisis, when many people lose their lives and when many doctors and nurses get sick and some die, there must be restrictions. We need to show understanding for them. If we deprive ourselves of some rights now, very soon we will have them in full again, ”Angelov said.

He stressed that the health authorities are acting in a fully planned manner.

“We have planned measures and we are acting according to a strictly defined plan, which was presented to the National Assembly in 32 minutes. Two-thirds of this plan cannot be presented, as we have in it strategic national security objectives. The other part is presents to the public, “Angelov explained.

In addition, the Minister of Health warned people not to overdo the use of medications, including paracetamol and aspirin, because it can lead to deterioration of their health.
