There is an agreement to close the issue of minimum pensions, which will be increased and indexed starting next year. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Krassimir Karakachanov to journalists before his hearing in the parliamentary Defense Committee.

“Currently, pensioners receive a minimum pension of BGN 300 due to the BGN 50 supplements,” he added.

“All pensioners receive BGN 50 more than their pensions due to the coronavirus situation. There is talk of an increase with the new budget and the pensions to be liquidated,” recalled the deputy prime minister.

“The recruiting service will vote in a referendum, as signed by the GERB, if there is a vote for the Grand National Assembly,” concluded Krassimir Karakachanov.

The military minister demanded a peaceful solution to the tensions between Turkey and Greece in the Mediterranean, since Bulgaria would be directly affected.

“We are monitoring the situation very closely. We have not taken military measures, they are not necessary at this time,” Karakachanov told lawmakers.

“The housing problem for the military is very big. Very large sums are spent to cover part of the rents,” said the defense minister.
