The Milan team suffered their first loss in Serie A since the start of the season. The strength of the “rossoneri” was conquered by the Juventus champion, who showed that he has not given up on pursuing his tenth consecutive title.
The Bianconeri definitely won 3: 1 in the center of the San Siro in Milan, and the hero of the night for the guests was Federico Chiesa, who scored two of Juve’s goals. The third was the work of the Weston Makeni Reserve. The goal of honor for the hosts was scored by Davide Calabria at the end of the first half.
Despite today’s defeat, Milan remains at the top of the standings, as earlier in the day, the chaser Inter also picked up a defeat – 1: 2 from Sampdoria.
After playing the intermediate round in Italy, Milan have a 37-point lead. Juventus closed the gap with the leader by seven points, but Andrea Pirlo’s former students have one game less. The grandmaster of Turin is already fourth in the table.
The Turin visitors managed to create the first real scoring opportunity in the match in the second minute. Frabota got up very well from the left, entered the penalty area and found Dibala exposed. The Argentine shot immediately, but the ball bounced off Simon Kjaer’s body and did not hinder Donaruma at the hosts’ gate. Milan tried to respond immediately with a shot from Leao, who, however, was weak and went through the door.
In the 7th minute, a misstep by Betancourt in his own penalty area could have cost Juve dearly. He complained and couldn’t clear the ball, allowing Castiejo to shoot diagonally, but Szczesny was careful and took a corner.
It was barely a quarter of an hour later when Andrea Pirlo’s players made an inexcusable second pass. And in this situation, luck smiled at the hosts. After a long play after a cross from a corner kick, the ball ended up in Federico Chiesa, who with a powerful shot from about 12 meters, shook the left side post of the door.
However, nothing could help the ‘rossoneri’ in the 18th minute, when again Chiesa was in the shooting position and this time he did not make a mistake. The forward doubled with Dibala on the right to be brilliantly removed by the Argentine with a heel, and it was not difficult for Chiesa to direct the ball into the lower right corner for the 1: 0.
Immediately after that, Cristiano Ronaldo’s shot was blocked.
The hosts tried to respond immediately to the challenge and within minutes Rafael Leao had two excellent chances, in the first of which the ball went inches from the side post and the second shot was stopped by Szczesny.
However, Stefano Pioli’s players showed character and reached the equalizer four minutes before the break. Davide Calabria scored a beautiful goal after receiving a pass from Leao from the left and with a technical kick sent the ball to the upper left corner of the door for 1: 1.
Juventus players had complaints against referee Irati, who did not rule out Chalhanoglu’s foul against Rabio before Milan’s goal attack. In the end, the situation was not even addressed with the VAR.
The second part started with a very good situation for the hosts, which was created by Diogo Dalo. He took a long shot, which did not surprise Wojciech Szczesny and the Pole managed to kill on a corner kick.

In the 56th minute Aaron Ramsey made an unforgivable pass. After a long cross from the right wing, the ball moved everyone to the penalty area and landed right at the feet of the Welshman, who was definitely not ready and although he was alone, he did not know exactly how to shoot from a great position.
Just six minutes later, Juventus still took a new lead in the result, and Federico Chiesa was the top scorer again. The forward received on the edge of the area and with a clinical strike with his left foot sent the ball inches from the right post, leaving point guard Donaruma defenseless by 2: 1 in favor of the “bianconeri”. It was his fifth goal since the start of the season.
Weston McKenney, who appeared as a substitute in the second half, could have decided everything in the game in the 72nd minute, but Donaruma showed real class. The American was brought out magnificently by Cristiano Ronaldo, but his shot from 15 meters was deflected by the hosts’ goalkeeper.
However, Makeni waited for her moment only four minutes later. After an assist from Juve’s other reserve Kulushevski, Makeni scored easily from the edge of the goal area, after being left completely alone.
