Metallica introduced a new version of “Blackened”. While at home, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo recorded a “light” version of the opening song from their 1988 classic “… and Justice for All.”

“Here is something we have been preparing for the past few days. We hope you are safe and sound. Have a good weekend,” the band said.

A few days ago, the band’s drummer Lars Ulrich said they had a great opportunity to make a new album. If the pandemic continues, they will be forced to stay home, with no concerts planned in the foreseeable future.

So Metallica can record their first studio album since 2016 when “Hardwired … to Self-Destruct” is released.

According to Ulrich, the band’s technicians develop software so that the musicians can play their scores from the different places where they reside.
