Despite threats of a siege, lawmakers managed to get to work undisturbed. They entered the National Assembly amid chants and shouts of “Renunciation.” There was no tension. Most of the deputies chose to enter through a side entrance, not through the central one.

Bikov: We can gather a quorum

Parliament has had no problem achieving a quorum since the first registration for the start of the plenary session this morning. 127 deputies registered in the room.

In NOVA, GERB deputy Toma Bikov announced that the resignation of the government is not on the agenda. The BSP stated that they will not enter the room today, but that they will be part of the protest.

Mirchev: BSP will not enter the room, we will be with the people protesting

The number of police officers guarding the National Assembly building is impressive. The entrance is surrounded on all sides by gendarmerie and uniforms. An ambulance arrived at the scene to provide first aid if necessary.
