The decision was made after a large increase in the number of infected and seriously ill people in the district. The employees of the Regional Health Inspectorate are at the limit of their strength.
A record number of positive samples for coronavirus in the Burgas region during the last 24 hours. 495 were registered in the last 24 hours. Among the positives are three women in labor, one of whom is in serious condition in the intensive care unit.
Due to the situation in the district, the RHI requested the introduction of new measures, including the introduction of an evening class for minors. Sports and all mass events are prohibited.
Employees of the Regional Health Inspectorate are also at the limit of their strength. The hiring of more personnel and the secondment of teams from the interior of the country are being considered.
The Ministry of the Interior will intensify inspections for compliance with the new measures.
“We are seeing a rejuvenation of COVID-19 patients. Everything Burgas needs will be done. Additional vaccines will be reassigned and Remdesivir will be shipped. Today we have ordered a special delivery of the preparation,” said Health Minister Kostadin Angelov.
“At the moment we are not concerned with the needs of the Burgas district. We have the full cooperation of the hospital directors. We are ready to send colleagues from other medical institutions, “he added.
“Burgas is going to face and resist this wave of COVID-19,” he was categorical.
