Bulgarian EU Commissioner Maria Gabriel has a coronavirus. This was announced by her with status on Facebook.

“After the first negative test for Covid-19, the second is positive. I feel fine and remain in quarantine, following established regulations and prescriptions for isolation. Take care of yourself and stay healthy!”Gabriel wrote.

A few days ago, she was quarantined for contact with a member of her team who tested positive. The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is also isolated.

Those who work with the president of the European Commission are examined on Mondays and Thursdays of each week, in Portugal all the anti-epidemic regulations were observed. Officials traveling with von der Leyen to Lisbon are also under quarantine, an EC spokesman said at the time.

He noted that self-isolation under the measures introduced in Belgium is seven days, which will be completed tomorrow in the case of the president of the European Commission. According to him, these trips to Portugal are considered important from the point of view of the commission president’s work.
