Ludogorets “has not paid” Cagliari “to attract Kiril Despodov on loan until the end of the season, announced the sports director of the champions Georgi Karamandjukov at the presentation of Josue Sa.
The Razgrad club attracted attention by taking the former CSKA player. According to media reports in Italy, the deal is worth € 500,000. The same amount is indicated by authorized transfermarkt.com.
Karamandjukov says otherwise. “There is a release clause, which is quite high by our standards. The salary is much, much lower than what is circulating in the media.”
Despodov’s attraction to “Ludogorets” caused a wave of discontent from CSKA fans towards the footballer.
“The first and only conversation we had with Kiril Despodov was the night of October 4. I want to ask someone from CSKA if he contacted him, if he invited him, if CSKA remembered Despodov. Because now I am seeing accusations against him. He is, of course, a very good footballer, who we hope fits our style.
Despodov is with the national team and is preparing for the important game with Hungary, as well as for the Nations League matches. His presentation is expected next week.
