Lubomir fled Bulgaria in January, four days after Antonia’s murder.

The police from Civitavecchia to Rome arrested 36-year-old Lyubomir Lozanov, wanted since January for the murder of Antonia de Radomir. It was found cut into pieces in a suitcase.

Although the Italian media did not report the names of the victim and those arrested, the Corriere della Sera published a photo of Antonia.

The investigation in Italy was led by the carabinieri from Ladispoli, in Rome, after receiving a signal from the Central Directorate of Criminal Police. It was through her that it became clear that the Bulgarian was hiding on the Roman coast. Ladispoli is located 50 km north of Rome and is known as a city with a large Bulgarian and Romanian community. Lozanov hid with friends.

Lyubimir Lozanov left Bulgaria 4 days after Antonia’s disappearance in January. He explained that he was going to look for a better job. The young woman was last seen on Saint Ivan’s Day at a restaurant near Radomir. Almost 10 months later, wild animals dug up Antonia’s remains in the bushes near the river between Radomir and the village of Nikolaevo.

After leaving, Lubomir did not stay in contact with anyone. Antonia’s relatives were looking for him to learn more about their separation. They called his phone, wrote messages, but received no response.

Antonia and Lubomir have been a couple for 4 years. The relationship was tumultuous and scandals erupted for no reason.

“She wouldn’t let him talk to other men and work, he bought a phone with a coupon so he wouldn’t call anyone,” said a friend of the murdered woman. Dozens of times, Antonia, 30, threatened to end the complicated relationship, but quickly forgave the man because she was so in love. She explained that despite the noisy arguments, they later apologized to each other. He himself ended the relationship, but they met again later. After a brutal beating, Antonia passed out and woke up in the hospital. He even considered requesting a restraining order.

After discovering Antonia’s remains, Lubomir himself confessed the crime to his father. The two decided to hide the body by putting it in a suitcase and burying it underground. In front of the uniformed men, the old man confessed everything and pointed out where Tony was buried. According to his relatives, Lubomir was using drugs, which made him explosive. They may also have caused the latest scandal between them.
