People from 21 settlements voted today
By-elections were held in 13 districts of the country. And the sections were entered only with masks due to the coronavirus.
The largest settlements that will have a new mayor are the municipalities of Strelcha and Septemvri.
For the first time, in an election with masks. Voters at all mayoral polling stations had to observe distance and security measures.
The municipality of Septemvri is voting for mayor for the second time in the last year, after the current Marin Rachev was dismissed due to a conflict of interest. There is only one candidate for mayor, his wife, Veska Racheva.
A new mayor is also being elected in the municipality of Strelcha. The previous Stoyno Chachov was fired because he owned a company that he did not erase in time. He is now one of three candidates for the position.
