Liverpool were left without Mohamed Salah for the following matches, after his coronavirus test came back positive.
The forward underwent a new test, which unfortunately turned out positive, confirmed the Egyptian Football Association. The star has been isolated since the end of last week, missing both matches against Togo.
According to UK rules, anyone who tests positive for coronavirus must be kept in isolation for 10 days. In this situation, Salah will miss the games against Leicester, Atalanta and Brighton, and will be in line for the clash with Ajax in the Champions League on December 1.
It is unclear if Salah will return to England on Monday when the first period of his isolation ends or if he will have to pass a negative test before he can travel to the island.
Before him with Liverpool’s Covid 19 were Thiago Alcantara, Sadio Mane and Jerdan Shakiri, and the injured in the team are Virgil van Dyke, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Jordan Henderson and Andrew Robertson are lightly injured and in question for the Foxes.
