Liverpool managed to qualify for the round of 16 of the Champions League after beating Ajax 1-0 at Anfield.
The Reds are unattainable in first place in Group D, where teams from Atalanta and Midtjylland are also. The Danes and Italians drew 1: 1 in Bergamo.
Liverpool’s only goal in the game was scored by Curtis Jones (58).
The English champions had many personnel problems before this match, but they played a perfect tactical match, managed to score once and deservedly took the three points and first place in the group.

In the 58th minute, Liverpool scored. Then Onana made a brutal mistake and allowed Curtis Jones to stretch his net to 1: 0. This goal brought peace to the English and they closed the game even more.
At the end of the match, Salah and Firmino failed to score, followed by another bolt for Liverpool. Huntelaar could have brought the point to Ajax, but there was no chance. So the Merseysiders took the victory and are in the next phase of the tournament.
