However, Pironkova quickly recovered. After a bad start to Cornet’s game, our tennis player managed to stabilize her game and after some errors by the Frenchwoman the result was reduced to 1: 2. The subsequent game was very controversial. It reached 2 draws 40:40, after which our tennis player took two consecutive points after long games and tied 2: 2.
The two tennis players took the passes in the next game without problems for a score of 3: 3. Corne again had no problems in the next game, winning his game at 15.
Our girl took the next game and then came to a key moment in the meeting. The Bulgarian tennis player managed to change Corne’s game from 30: 0 to be able to break to 30 and be able to serve in the first set.
Pironkova continued her insistent play and with some spikes she reached 40:15 in her game. After a long play, the Bulgarian took the initiative with an iron backhand to the right and finished close to the net for 6: 4 and the first set.
